Pep-Start Double Bubble Purifying Mask with Clinique

Clinique Pep-Start Double Bubble Purifying Mask

Masks are probably my favourite skincare products ever! I love how they are jam-packed with ingredients that can transform your skin in just 15 minutes. However, life gets in the way sometimes and you don’t always have 15 minutes to get a mask on. Especially in the morning! This is why I’ve really been enjoying the Clinique Pep-Start Double Bubble Purifying Mask. All it takes is 2 minutes or so, and I even brush my teeth while using this mask to save extra time!

All you need is 2-3 pumps of the product and spread an even layer over your face, avoiding the eye area. The formula will then transform from a pink gel into a blanket of teeny, tiny little white bubbles that bubble up the dirt and debris from your skin! After 2-3 minutes, I’ll go ahead and massage the bubbles on my face with warm water while rinsing away the product like how I normally would when I cleanse. Et voilà – clean, soft, energized skin in just a couple of minutes!

So how does it work? This mask has foaming agents (Decyl Glucoside, Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate, and Cocamidopropyl Betaine) that help exfoliate and wash away surface impurities that can lead to clogged pores. Together with Glycerin and N-Acetyl D-Glucosamine, these ingredients will increase moisture levels while decreasing flakiness and help normalize exfoliation on the outer layer of your skin to give that smooth, radiant effect. I find that whenever I use this mask (I like to use it every other day), my skincare products absorb better. Which, in turn, helps with oil control and allows my makeup to stay on better throughout the day.

VERDICT

What I like most about this product is that it doesn’t add an extra step in your regular morning routine. If your skin doesn’t feel dirty or oily after waking up, you don’t even have to cleanse before using this mask. What I like to do is: I apply the mask, turn on my electric tooth brush, and let the mask bubble up while I brush my teeth. 2 minutes later, my toothbrush will turn off automatically. I then go ahead and massage my skin with the mask and rinse everything off. Essentially, you are just cleansing, but you get the extra ingredients that purify and moisturize your skin. That’s a big win in my book.

It also comes in a squeezy tube with a pump, so it’s hygienic and easy to dispense product. Another thumbs up! Not to mention that the bubbles tingles (in a good way) which really helps wake me up. This mask retails for 34CAD and is only available at Sephora and Sephora.com. If you haven’t tried a bubble mask before, be sure to check it out!

  1. This I need, I like that I can do have this on while brushing my teeth(because I also have one that shuts off on it own).It seems interesting that it bubbles up, does it run down your face though or is it fairly sticky so it stays to your face?
