A couple of years ago, I created a bucket list of things I wanted to do/achieve by 25 on Microsoft Word. If you follow me on Instagram (you should if you don’t!), you’d know that I turned 25 earlier this month. And… I did not check off the whole list 😭 With that said, I’ve seen the 30 Before 30 “tag” floating around the blogosphere for a little while now (I believe Joelle from La Petite Noob started it, but also check out my friend Bri’s version here!), so I thought I’d give my list an update! And hopefully I can complete it this time around.
I can’t believe it has been 6 months since I started blogging! Time really flies when you’re enjoying and having fun with a new hobby. I know it hasn’t been that long at all, but if it wasn’t for my blog, I wouldn’t have tried out some amazing brands and products, met new friends from the blogging community, and have a small piece of the internet that I can call my own!
Participating in an exchange program was one of the most rewarding experiences in my life. Just a bit of background story, I grew up in Hong Kong and was only 17 at the time. I wanted to study abroad but wasn’t sure if I was ready, so I did some research and realized that there were other options. The idea seemed a little bit terrifying at first, but I told myself – screw it, let’s do it. So I took the plunge, went to France for one academic year, and learnt a few things.
Last week, I went to a seminar featuring lingerie designer slash Canadian babe Mary Young. She talked about her journey to self-love, and how she trained her mind to change the way she looked at herself. Since we are celebrating the day of love and romance tomorrow, I thought I would add a few things to this amazing self-love to-do list Mary shared at the seminar.
Just a heads up, I’m actually the worst at keeping new year’s resolutions. I moved to Toronto 6 years ago and every new year I would tell myself to get my driver’s license. Up to this day, all thanks to Uber, I still haven’t done my written test. With that said, I don’t want to rain on my own parade and jinx it for 2017. New year, new goals! Who cares how badly I failed in previous years, right?
