REVIEW | *The Nail and Champagne Bar

If you frequent King West, having a mani while enjoying a drink probably isn’t quite news to you. But what makes The Nail and Champagne Bar unique is that it’s a mobile nail salon that curates nail and champagne experiences through pop up events, at-home services, and private parties! When I stumbled upon their Instagram, I was so impressed by the idea – seriously, why didn’t I think of this before?!

Founded by Eliza Sipin in May 2016, The Nail and Champagne Bar is the first full service mobile nail and champagne brand in Toronto. Their team can travel to any location of your choice, whether it be your office for a party, or an event space for your special occasion. Their nail services include manicures, nail art, and polish changes. But to make it all fun, they offer sparkling wines and customized mimosas by the glass. Yum!

They had a pop-up event at elle fitness and social last week so I stopped by before my evening digital strategy class. I was greeted by Eliza and her nail tech Jacqueline, and was so in love with how they decorated with this champagne piñata made by Big Ass Piñata!

My Manicure and Mimosa experience was phenomenal. Jacqueline started by asking what nail shape I wanted and groomed my cuticles meticulously. She noticed that my left thumb nail was on the verge of breaking, so she offered to used nail glue (normally used for adding studs and jewels for nail designs) to prevent that, which I thought was genius. For my nail polish, I went for Nars’ Night Flight, a blue-black colour with silver and cobalt shimmer. It’s gorgeous and I think I may have found my favourite blue for the winter! And while this was all happening, I was slowly sipping my delicious mimosa – a Freixenet Cava and Ceres Pear Juice concoction.

Eliza explained to me that for each event, she curates the nail polish colours so it’s easier for people to choose what they want. And to stay ahead of the nail game, all her polishes are by Nars. I have never tried Nars polishes before this and haven’t seen any nail salon carry them – big thumbs up for being extra original. If you’re ever looking to amp up your events, check them out! They are the perfect addition to birthdays, baby showers, bachelorette parties – you name it. Let me know if you’ve seen anything like this before and whether you would consider having them at your special event! Happy manicure Monday x
