I was on an Uber one day and N15 Hair Salon caught my eye – I noticed how gorgeous it looked from the outside and seeing the Japanese characters under the name, I knew right away that they specialized in Asian hair care. Rewind back to last year, I chopped my long balayage hair (which was also super dead and fried at the time) and told myself that I could rock the long bob look. But I was wrong – I didn’t feel like myself and it took a million years for my hair to grow back. Earlier this month, I realized my hair was finally ready for a new look, so I paid them a visit!
If you frequent King West, having a mani while enjoying a drink probably isn’t quite news to you. But what makes The Nail and Champagne Bar unique is that it’s a mobile nail salon that curates nail and champagne experiences through pop up events, at-home services, and private parties! When I stumbled upon their Instagram, I was so impressed by the idea – seriously, why didn’t I think of this before?!
As a foodie, it’s simply impossible to try all the amazing restaurants in Toronto without breaking the bank. Which is why I love culinary events like Winterlicious – I get to enjoy a 3-course meal for as little as $18! But trust me, picking out the right restaurants can be tricky at times, esp. with 220+ choices. So here are a few tips that I have gathered from my previous Licious experiences that you may find useful when doing your research.
It was the Nordstrom Fall Beauty Trend Week last week and I was lucky enough to be invited to indulge in a week of all things beauty at the Eaton Centre location. They were offering complimentary beauty services, skincare and makeup consultations, fragrance masterclasses, free samples, and exclusive gift-with-purchases all week long!
The National Women’s Show was held earlier this month with over 500 exhibitors, ranging from beauty and wellness to food and beverage. There were long lines for freebies and samples, and everyone (most of them were suburban moms I think?) went there to shop. As an urbanite slash millennial, even though I felt out of place, I actually quite enjoyed browsing around and ended up picking up a few beauty products myself!
